So I did the OC Winter Chili Trail Run — a 5-mile trail run. I hate running. But I’ve been forcing myself since a sprained elbow has kept me largely sidelined from lifting the past three months.
It was my first trail run and wasn’t as horrible as I’d worried. In fact, pretty fun! I walked the steeper bits, but most people did. I finished in just over an hour and at a 12:24 average pace and 7th in my age division. Much better than I expected.
Oh, and I registered for the one next month. Go figure!
How do your lifts compare?
I would like to thank my arms, for always being by side. My legs, for always supporting me, and my fingers…because I can always count on them.
